What is hard to copy
The sitter needs no app
A neighbour or sitter marks a dose in a browser from a link. They are not the paying user, so they should not have to install anything.
Data on the phone
Records are stored on the device. Family sync is end-to-end encrypted; a sitter link goes through a server that keeps what the sitter needs, encrypted at rest.
Reminders treated as the core job
In a medication app a missed reminder can mean a missed dose, so reminder reliability was its own piece of work, not a side effect. Phone settings such as Focus modes can still silence a notification.
Why it is built this way
Causes of hangs, not symptoms
34 of 37 unresolved error reports were app hangs. Four causes were found, including an image rendered for every reminder and the whole history rescanned daily. All four were fixed in version 1.4.3.
A bug caught before users saw it
The device log on a clean install showed that after the first reminder, the rest were never scheduled. It was fixed before release.
